The Minnesota Arabian
Horse Association (MAHA) is an organization of professional and amateur
exhibitors, breeders, trainers, and enthusiasts. The club is officially
recognized by the Arabian Horse Association (AHA), the organization that
oversees the activities of its member clubs, promotes the history of the
Arabian horse, and guards the future of the breed. MAHA, supporting similar
goals on a local level, was founded in 1953. Membership in the Minnesota
Arabian Horse Association (at certain levels) also provides membership in
the Arabian Horse Association. Other benefits include a subscription to the
“MAHA Express" the club online newsletter, membership in Region 10, and the
Arabian Horse Association delegate eligibility. The Minnesota Arabian Horse
Association sponsors activities such as Class "A" horse shows, the Arabian Open
Shows Championship, clinics, trail rides, educational seminars; it supports
an active Youth Program; and it is a member club of the Western Saddle Clubs
Association.
The most rewarding
benefit of membership, however, is meeting new friends and joining with
fellow Arabian horse enthusiasts in the appreciation and support of this
wonderful breed. |
